A well-established packaging manufacturer has a vacancy for a Flexo Printer. The role is based in Cape Town, Southern Suburbs and will report to the Head of Department.

The job requirements and duties are as follows:

  • Utilize various flexographic printing press machines that can print on all sorts of substrates, such as polyethylene, paper, BOPP & Polyesters.
  • Prepare the press for printing, including filling ink and calibrating the machine.
  • Premount the printing plates
  • Feed the substrates into the machine.
  • Troubleshooting any issues that might arise during printing.
  • Accurately read job printing orders and follow their specification.
  • Ensure that quality objectives are met.
  • Colour match as per required colour standards and or pantones.
  • Manage the team and give instructions to ensure the smooth running and effective and efficient operation of the printing press.
  • Ensure that good standards of housekeeping are maintained.

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 matric certificate (nonnegotiable)
  • Post matric qualification
  • Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry a huge advantage.
  • 35 years' proven experience in the same role is essential.
  • Leadership skills.
