PATTERN MAKER & GRADER

PERMANENT POSITION



LOCATION:
PAARL

Minimum requirements:

- _Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent knowledge and experience_
- _National diploma or part qualification in pattern making & grading or clothing production management_
- _Must have experience in creating electronic pattern files on a pattern making software system, e.g. GERBER_
- _Previous experience of working on LECTRA Modaris Classic software module (or training will be provided)_
- _Previous experience of working on LECTRA Diamino Advanced software module (or training will be provided)_
- _5 years' experience as machinist/ sample hand machinist in a clothing factory environment_
- _3 to 5 years' experience as pattern maker/ grader_
- _Valid driver's license with access to own transport_

Skills required:

- _Strong computer skills and aptitude_
- _Training/ schooling in technical drawing (CAD) an advantage_
- _Joining components and garment construction sewing skills_
- _Attention to detail with an eye for shape and proportion_
- _Ability to follow instructions and adhere to procedures_
- _Able to work in a changing and fast paced environment_

Key Outputs:

- _Produce Patterns (including grading, preparing spec sheets for tech packs)_
- _Convert Patterns as required_
- _Feed data into computer software programmes_
- _Carry out quality checks to ensure final patterns match originals_
- _Work closely with design and sample making teams (deliver samples on time)_
- _Make design changes using LECTRA pattern design software (PDS) when required_
