Data Scientist

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  • Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to analyze complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Utilize machine learning techniques to build predictive models and algorithms that deliver accurate and meaningful insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive improvements and solve problems.
  • Design and conduct experiments and A/B tests to validate hypotheses and measure the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports, visualizations, and presentations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to Data Science and propose innovative solutions to enhance data analysis processes.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and databases to ensure efficient data collection, storage, and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and IT teams to implement data science solutions and ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists on best practices, techniques, and methodologies in data analysis and machine learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. A Master's or Ph.
D. degree is strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or related role, preferably in a fast-paced industry.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java, with experience in data manipulation and analysis using libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or SciPy.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, and classification.
  • Experience in machine learning algorithms and frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract insights and communicate findings through data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a knack for identifying patterns and trends in complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
