Job Title:
Fundraiser for Animal Welfare Organisation

Job Summary:


As a Fundraiser for our animal welfare organisation, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to promote the well-being and protection of animals.

Your primary responsibility will be to secure funds and donations from various sources to sustain and expand our programs and initiatives.

You will develop and implement fundraising strategies, cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors, and organise events and campaigns to generate financial support.

Your efforts will directly contribute to the betterment of the lives of animals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy Development:
Develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community organisations through effective communication, personalised engagement, and acknowledgment of their contributions.


Fundraising Events and Campaigns:

Plan, organise, and execute fundraising events such as galas, charity walks, auctions, or online campaigns to attract donations, raise awareness, and engage supporters.


Donor Database Management:

Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, contributions, and pledges using fundraising software, ensuring timely and personalised follow-up to nurture ongoing relationships.


Networking and Collaboration:

Represent the organisation at community events, networking functions, and conferences to expand awareness, establish partnerships, and explore collaborative opportunities.


Compliance and Ethics:

Adhere to ethical fundraising practices, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and uphold the organisation's values in all fundraising activities.


Volunteer and Staff Support:

Collaborate with volunteers and staff members to coordinate fundraising efforts, provide guidance, and leverage their skills and networks to maximise fundraising outcomes.


Stay Informed:

Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in fundraising, animal welfare, and nonprofit management to enhance effectiveness and contribute innovative ideas to the organisation.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Digital Marketing skills (Facebook, Instagram and Mailchimp)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, deliver persuasive presentations, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using fundraising software, databases, and online platforms for donor management and engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Passion for animal welfare and a genuine commitment to promoting the wellbeing and protection of animals.
  • Ethical approach to fundraising, with a strong sense of integrity and accountability.
  • Design experience (e.g. Canva) an advantage.
