Compliance with all legislation governing the use and safe operation of a vehicle on public roads and operation of the vehicle in accordance with ACS requirements and compliance with customer specific site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid Driver's Licence / PDP
- Vehicle mounted Crane operation (advantageous)
EXPERIENCE:
- Good working knowledge of the safe operation of a vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Perform accurate completion of daily vehicle check lists.
- Obey the traffic rules at all times as stipulated in the requirement and rules of the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act No 93 of 1996)
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested to meet business needs
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of an allocated vehicle (ensure the vehicle is clean interior and exterior and the vehicle is serviced at the required intervals)
- Ensure all delivery documents, including Proof of Delivery and customer release forms, are completed, and returned after delivery to customer site.
- Adhere to customer site requirements including wearing of prescribed Personal Protective Equipment and Site Safety Rules
- Follow the established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
- Adhere to the transportation & vehicle control policies and ensure that cargo is properly secured to avoid damage
- Assist with monthly stock takes
- Adhere to company loading procedure and practice
- Adherence and accuracy of deliveries and collections comparing part numbers and serial numbers on documents
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of company equipment and assets (Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices)
