Job Summary

As a
Hostess you must be able to welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner with a smile and make sure they are happy at all times when dinning.

The Hostess's duty is to escort customers to assigned dining areas. She ascertains for the customer's needs. The duty of the hostess is to seat guests and manage the seating chart.

She monitors the restaurant's activity to determine seating and dining flow. The Hostess responds to customer's inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. She answers the restaurant's phone and take reservations and manage them. However, these roles and responsibilities are not limited depending on the Restaurant's needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the Restaurant.
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
• Taking Bookings and managing reservations.
• Escort customers to assigned dining areas.
• Greet customers upon their departure.
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
• Maintain a clean reception area.
• Answer incoming calls and address customers' queries.
• Assist wait staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum Educational Level: Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Certificate in Hospitality (Added advantage)
• Minimum of +/ 1 years' experience working as a Hostess
