We have an exciting opportunity at Barron for a Manual Screen Printer who will report to the Floor Supervisor. This position is based at our offices in Westlake, Modderfontein, Gauteng.

Job Purpose:


The purpose of a Manual Screen Printer is to brand company products according to customer requirements and loading designs onto the machine.


2. Job Objectives

Brand garments according to client request

  • Interpret job card and brand products according to customer requirements by using different branding methods.

Quality Control

  • Responsible for the quality of the branded product by running samples and verifying if it meets the required standard.

Housekeeping

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 11 / 1 23 years' experience as a Manual Screen Printer

Skills, Abilities and Job-Related Knowledge:

  • Set the machine 1 to 6 colours
  • Safety Principles
  • Machine Maintenance
  • Knowledge on Branding Process
  • Housekeeping Principles
  • Product Knowledge
  • Quality Control
  • Interpreting a job card
  • English Comprehension
  • Verification skills

As a Screen Printer, the employee is required to be fully proficient in the following skills:

  • Printing Skills
  • Must be able to identify mistakes on layout
  • Differentiate between colours
  • Be able to work on your feet and move around easily
  • Be able to work overtime from time to tome
