Junior Salesperson required within a trade and DIY company. Interpret customer needs, provide technical advice, process and enable sales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and growing the customer base
  • Welcoming customers and being the first point of contact point
  • Taking of orders and facilitating of sales
  • Correctly advising customers on product requirements
  • Building customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction levels post sale.
  • Completing quote administration timeously.
  • Marketing of new products including product launches and specials to customers
  • Ability to interpret and analyze a building plan.
  • Liaising with customers regarding delivery times and after sales process.

Requirements:

  • Matric Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting.
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans (Xhosa an advantage).
  • Fully computer literate on MS Office, including MS Outlook.
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV Sales/accounting system competency advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Sales environment.
  • Ability to read architectural plans and drawings (construction knowledge).
  • Debtors and Stock control knowledge.
  • Team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Target and sales driven.
  • Strong customer service skills.
