Job Title:
Experienced Fitter & Turner (2 vacancies)

Job Type:
Permanent (with a 3 months' probation period)

Location:
Killarney Gardens, Cape Town - must already reside in Cape Town

Salary:
R15 000 to R18 000 Nett per month (dependant on experience)

Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 08h00 - 17h00 / Friday 08h00 to 15h00 / Saturdays applicable with required / Overtime (applicable)

Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and operate conventional machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
  • Fabricate and assemble parts to create precision components.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet industry standards.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Fitter and Turner.
  • Red Seal certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing and maintenance sector is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
