Refrigeration Technician

The ideal person will be in possession of an N3 qualification, a valid Refrigeration Trade Test. Authorized

Refrigeration Practitioner Cat B Ammonia plus 2-4 years relevant experience.

Other requirements and responsibilities include the following result areas:

 Skilled maintenance, installations, and repair in the Ammonia Plantroom

 Responsible for all refrigeration, chilled water and compressed air on site.

 Attend to refrigeration break downs.

 Preventative maintenance schedules

 Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends and night shifts.

 Good Housekeeping.

 Daily responsibilities; Responsible for the whole make-up of the refrigeration

of the plant. Check amps, bearings, valves, cooling system any repairs that need

to be done. All electrical, mechanical & electronics of the refrigeration machines etc. PLC

Ammonia is hazardous, safety and precautionary measures that are approved by

law must be implemented.
