Minimum requirements:

  • Must have completed Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Samtrac or equivalent (National Diploma would be an advantage).
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Working knowledge of OHS Act and Construction Regulations 201
  • A sound understanding of the workings of COIDA.
  • Good understanding and ability to conduct risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks and implementation of company safety policies.
  • Good knowledge and ability to manage multiple subcontractors.
  • Good understanding and ability to understand and implement requirements contained in a EMP.
  • SACPCMP registration (good standing must be current) is a prerequisite.
  • Good Administrative skills.
  • Must be computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Valid code 08 Driver's license and own transport preferable.
  • Must be based in Cape Town.

Relevant SHE Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' onsite SHE working experience in civil, mechanical & electrical and the built environment is required.
  • Accident investigation.
  • Working at heights and fall protection plan implementation (would be advantageous).
  • Able to work independently and without supervision.
  • Must be reliable, accountable, honest and of sober habits.
