  • JOB PURPOSE:
  • Planning the on-time delivery of components, entering works and purchase orders, scheduling, expediting and conducting stock counts.
Includes the supervision and coaching of staff- JOB FUNCTION:

  • Monthly sales targets are met based on open orders with weekly reports on actual vs planned
  • Create master schedule for team and update weekly considering material and capacity requirements
  • Manpower capabilities for the team are planned, selected and developed
  • Daily execute MRP (material resource planning) and resolve associated queries or issues
  • Sales order is checked against lead time list to ensure delivery is possible as per company procedure
  • Information from drawing office is checked to ensure that it is correct as per purchase order
  • Purchase orders are entered as per request and purchase order queries are attended to as required
  • Late Delivery Notes/Late Orders are loaded on JDE for late jobs or early jobs when necessary
  • Works orders are loaded and maintained as per request
  • Delivery notes and invoices are generated and given to operations for all sales orders
  • Sales department is communicated with regarding progress of sales orders and to check progress for all sales orders
  • Stock takes for the product range are conducted daily/monthly/yearly and stock is physically checked to verify cycle counts when necessary
  • Planning reports are run weekly and necessary stock shortages are timeously ordered.
  • Reorder levels are monitored and maintained to ensure the availability of material and obsolete stock is identified quarterly
  • Sales orders are monitored and customer delivery dates are met
  • Operations tracking register is updated continuously to ensure that all information is up to date
  • Quality issues are monitored and issues communicated to relevant person as soon as quality issues are identified
  • Relevant drawings are printed, placed in job files and submitted to suppliers and schedules for assembly (production areas) are compiled daily/weekly/monthly
  • Incidents are investigated and acted on within the requested period and strategic input provided w.r.t stock levels or other constraints
  • Suppliers are contacted to communicate purchase order requirements and supplier issues are reported to management as they arise
  • Policies, standards and procedures for the work performed in the department are developed and maintained-
    Inherent Requirements
  • QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:


Grade 12
  • Supply chain management diploma/Industrial engineering diploma or similar
  • 5 years relevant experience in an operational environment
  • Follows up, initiates action, quality orientated, good planning and organising skills
  • Proficient in an MRP/ERP system, Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Projects, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook), Qliksense, Onbase, and JDE
