Our international partner, headquartered in the United Kingdomis currently seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist specialized in Learning Disability for an excellent opportunity within an NHS Trust located in the South East of England.

Duties and Responsibilities _

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and create individual treatment plans.
  • Provide evidencebased treatment interventions, including medication management and psychotherapy, as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care delivery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to review patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and trainees.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of latest research, guidelines, and best practices in the field of learning difficulties psychiatry.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Primary medical qualification and full registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
  • Consultant level experience in psychiatry with a subspecialty focus on learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong commitment to providing highquality, patientcentered care.
