Purpose:
The purpose of this role is the blending of spirit in the Spirit Blending department at Paarl.

The incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to) the blending activities related to liqueurs, according to procedure and standards.

Perform administrative duties related to blending and general housekeeping.

Ensure that they will be responsible for and continually strive to do their part to ensure that only a safe, quality product, which meets all applicable standards and requirements is manufactured.

The incumbent will also be responsible to supervise people from time to time.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 1
• Code B drivers licence would be to your advantage
• Basic computer, numerical and technical skills
• Understanding Quality in a production environment

years' experience in Spirits Cellar environment

• Application of HACCP/VACCP/TACCP (cellar hygiene)

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of general cellar work
• Tank transfers
• Strong administrative skills
• No fear of heights
• No fear for small spaces (claustrophobic)
• Team Player with leadership skills
• Supervisory skills

Job Summary:

• Ensuring tanks are cleaning and ready for use.
• Ensure botanical quantities are weighed and distilled according to the BOM and procedure on SAP
• Ensure that the correct quantities & correct products are blended according to specification and BOM
• Blending and additions to spirit based products
• Receiving and dispatch of product and production materials
• Monthly taking tank readings and sampling adherence to SOP.
• Tank to tank transfers
• Offloading of trucks
• Sampling of product
• Ensure adherence to Health and safety regulations
• Stocktaking and storage of spirit products
