To maximise commercial key accounts performance for **Saint

  • Gobain as a whole**, with focus on Gyproc Isover, in line with Company objectives and strategy, working as part of the GIM Sales team to drive Product proposition to Developers, Professionals/Specifiers, Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Specialist Distributors to develop customer satisfaction and to facilitate specification vs order closure.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Matriculation, including English and Maths.
  • Degree, Diploma in Sales/Marketing/Project Management or Business Management.
  • Previous experience in a sales role would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant higher qualification is desirable
  • Driver licence Code 0
  • Personality profile: Proactive, Resilience and Strong social skills and maturity.
  • Calculation ability/Strong mathematical or technical interpretation skills.
  • MS Office Basic Functionality (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
  • Good working knowledge of current design packages e.g. AutoCAD.

Specific work experience, knowledge and skills required to fulfil the role

  • 1 year experience in a customer facing role preferred.
  • Commercial awareness ability to identify opportunities and action.
  • Strong sales and selling ability.
  • Operating within a business environment.
  • Broader understanding of economic drivers preferred.
  • Success at selling new concepts and products.
  • Ownership of and engagement with continuous self development.
  • Proven technical competence understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate for commercial benefit.
  • Construction market experience and knowledge of procurement routes.
  • Understanding of current market legislation would be advantageous, e.g. SANS XA, SANS 10400 Part T and the Green Star Rating System and the practical implications and impacts within a business.
  • The ability to articulate a high degree of technical knowledge to key stakeholders (external and internal) to enable translation of opportunity into commercial benefit.

Key Accountabilities

Sales Strategy Execution:

  • Responsible for profitable development of project bank, with external lead provider (Specifying Techniques) with focus on driving GIM sales revenue.
  • Identify and aligning this above intel with NSM, NQS, RCM and Project Managers.
  • Identifying smaller residential projects to target.
  • Targeting Diffused market subcontractors through above lead provider thereby growing revenue and subcontractor loyalty.
  • Compiling of Project Packs as part of PSA strategy.
  • Strong focus on managing strong customer relationships.
  • Driving the company's sustainability strategy to all stake holders so that the organization reaches its objectives, executing its strategies and progresses towards its vision and purpose.
  • Advise on advantages of our comprehensive product range. Communicating the entire value proposition to customer groups as defined below.

Administration:

  • Working with other team members to develop technical skills and ensure specifiers can be assisted professionally.
  • Assist marketing to launch new products (as defined) to key stakeholders.
  • Key member of sales teams, contributing to development of commercial strategies.
  • Attend Regional Habitat and Project Action Group Meetings giving timeous feedback as and when required.
  • Assist and /or give presentations to sales team and customer base with focus on all aspects of product / system performances.
