REQUIREMENTS

  • South African citizen, willing to relocate to Makhanda
  • Registered and compliant with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Counselling Psychologist
  • Masters Degree
  • Minimum 3 years' postinternship experience; intern supervision an advantage
  • Counselling of adolescents or individuals in early adulthood
  • Training of groups
  • Counselling of HIV/ AIDS patients
  • Proficiency in Xhosa an advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive counselling and psychological support
  • Provide support in managing individuals with psychological problems
  • Assist in the supervision and training of intern psychologists
