Role Purpose:


As an Internal Broker in Commercial Lines, your core responsibility is to support our Account Executive in effectively serving our commercial lines clientele.

You'll be instrumental in delivering efficient underwriting services, ensuring mínimal cancellations, and meeting retention targets. Additionally, you'll cultivate strong relationships with clients, account executives, and insurers.

Your commitment to adhering to company standards, processes, and regulatory requirements will guarantee precise and timely communication with all stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial:

  • Implement strategies in collaboration with the Client Executive to secure new business and minimize cancellations.
  • Work closely to consistently achieve retention targets.

Client:

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, account executives, and insurers, ensuring accurate and professional communication at all times.
  • Cultivate and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, under the guidance of the Account Executive.
  • Actively contribute to achieving and exceeding client satisfaction targets set by the Account Executive.

Business Processes:

  • Maintain rigorous adherence to company quality standards, processes, and regulatory requirements, supporting the Account Executive in ensuring compliance.
  • Efficiently handle inquiries, new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, under the supervision of the Account Executive.
  • Meet productivity targets and align with company mandates, working closely with the Account Executive to deliver results.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and maintain meticulous records of activities, providing valuable support to the Account Executive as required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience as an Internal Broker Commercial Lines, specializing in medium to large commercial clients.
  • A minimum of 3 years' tenure at a Short-Term insurance brokerage is essential.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Hold an RE5 qualification.
  • FAIS compliant (with credits and/or full qualification).
  • Exceptional communication and customer service aptitude.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
