Job description


We are looking for a result-driven Financial Advisor to be responsible for providing financial advice to clients on retirement planning, investing in the future, savings, and life insurance protection.

The Financial advisor will complete a financial need analysis and present them with customized financial proposals. You should thereafter discuss and market insurance options that suit their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive leads from lead generator channels and make telephonic contact with the client to set up a meeting within the specified timeframes per the leads campaign agreement.
  • Assess the client's portfolio and identify possible gaps for which solutions can be formulated, prior to meeting with the client.
  • Request all the relevant information from the client as required by the relevant legislative frameworks (e.g., FAIS Act).
  • Follow all the steps in the designated client engagement process.
  • Make use of the Financial Needs Analysis tool provided to conduct a comprehensive risk evaluation for the client.
  • Discuss various possible solutions and options available with the client and thereafter recommend the most appropriate solution(s) to address any gaps.
  • Generate and discuss the appropriate solution in writing with the client, complete the necessary product proposal forms and ensure that the client signs the forms to indicate his/her consent.
  • Gather and complete all the necessary compliance documentation.
  • Submit the proposal forms to the relevant product providers for processing.
  • Review the client's portfolio and contact the client on a regular basis to discuss potential enhancements and revisions to his/her insurance and/or investments portfolio and identify new business opportunities.
  • Meet allocated targets using the sales strategy.
  • Seek business opportunities from external sources as necessary to grow the book of business

Education And Experience Required

  • NQF
  • Level 60 FAIS credits at NQF Level
  • RE5
Advantageous

  • Certificate in Financial Planning or Equivalent
  • Higher certificate in Insurance
  • NQF
120 credits full Qualification, Level 5.
