Stethoscope SA is seeking a Dental Chair Side Assistant and Receptionist to join the team of a Maxillo Facial Surgeon. This role combines both chair side assistance during dental procedures and front desk administrative duties. The successful candidate will provide support to the dental team, ensure the comfort of patients, and contribute to the smooth running of the dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during dental procedures by preparing the treatment room, sterilizing instruments, and providing instruments and materials as required. Support the dentist in ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Reception Duties: Greet patients, answer phone calls, and manage appointment scheduling. Collect and update patient information, verify insurance coverage, and assist with billing and payment processes. Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
  • Patient Care: Educate patients on dental hygiene and post-treatment care instructions. Address patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile treatment environment. Follow proper procedures for instrument sterilization and disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain dental supplies, equipment, and materials. Order new supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping. Collaborate with the dental team and other departments to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements Summary:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Chair Side Assistant and Receptionist is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of dental procedures and instruments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer software and dental practice management systems.
