Human Resources Business Partner

Purpose:


To align business objectives with relevant people objectives throughout the organization by formulating optimal partnerships with business stakeholders to serve as a trusted people partner, delivering value-added HR services to management and employees in line with the objectives of the organization.

Principal Accountabilities:

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Operational Service Delivery
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Risk Management
  • Implement high quality HR Business Partner services that span across the employee life cycle from selection to offboarding.
  • Conduct regular (weekly or monthly) meetings with respective business units to ensure alignment of people and business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and review Veritas HR Policies and
Procedures as required.

  • Consult with line management on any people related matters and provide HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Provide daytoday performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions etc.)
  • Conduct all necessary payroll administration tasks as and when required.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning as and when required.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships for the purpose of expectations management, knowledge sharing and integration, and to manage the organisation's reputation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and Standard Operating. Procedures within scope of control.
  • Drive the creation and implementation of a personal development plan aimed at achieving excellence in the role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the relevant Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience working with a human resources information system (HRIS) such as Workday, SAP, Sage VIP, Pastel, etc.
  • A proven track record partnering with business to deliver valueadded HR services across selection, recruitment, performance management, talent management, employee relations etc.
  • Experience working with payroll and conducting payroll administration duties is preferable.
  • Experience with analyzing data and generating insights to guide business decision making.
  • A proven track record of establishing excellent relationships with stakeholders and an energetic approach to work.
  • Detail and process orientated.
  • Effective administration and organizing skills.
  • Strong analytical capability.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Effective problemsolving skills.
  • Best practice knowledge and expertise in the field of HR.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure.
  • Gathering, presenting, and communicating information.
  • Knowledge of all relevant HR and Labor Relations legislation and frameworks such as BCEA, EEA, LRA etc.

Key requirements include:

  • Relevant Diploma in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or a related field. NQF
  • Relevant Graduate Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is desirable.
  • 56 Years' experience working as an HR Generalist.
  • Strong IR experience is an advantage.
