Based in Sandton, this top Fortune 100 global media and entertainment company is seeking a FP&A SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST.

The role covers Disney's 6 TV Channels for the Africa Division (Disney, Disney Junior, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, ESPN 1 and 2).

The primary purpose of the role is to provide key finance support to ensure that the strategic objectives of the company are met by i) having oversight and responsibility of the Network Channels P&Ls, ii) working with Commercial Teams on projects, negotiations and new business initiatives and iii) conducting forecasting, planning and analysis.

Depending on experience, the package is approximately R50,000 to R65,000 per month or R600,000 to R780,000 per annum which includes notable Medical Aid and Provident Fund benefits._

In the role, you will get to:_

  • Work across multiple regional finance teams gaining global exposure whilst reporting directly into the Finance Director for Africa
  • Analyse and advise on existing P&L financials throughout the TV Channel business from costings to expensing, understanding revenues and negotiating with customers and to share information through insights and presentations
  • Hone your skills in both FP&A and Advanced Excel by leading forecasting and budgeting, and running P&L projections
  • Work with external affiliates and the internal Disney Advertising and Programming teams to set targets, track actuals, estimate costs and review sales vs budget
  • Work on existing and new commercial projects with key Disney partners ensuring contracts are vetted and compliance standards are met
  • Be the main point of contact during the close process and provide support to the local Controllership and Accounting and Regional Revenue teams

Desired qualifications & skills:_

PREREQUISITE: Have an accounting, finance or business degree with a certification: CIMA is Preferred; alternatively, a CA(SA) with strong commercial experience

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience ideally in FP&A
  • A track record of providing commercial support to a business partner

Deep experience with all commercial drivers of the P&L_

  • Have a curious, analytical, investigative nature to research and hypothesise financial information and market trends
  • Strong communication, teamwork and inclusivity
