Junior Draughtsman/ In Service Trainee (Technical Design/Draughting)

An ideal opportunity, for a junior draughtsman, with an established joinery company. In service training to be provided.

Overview

  • Compile detailed production/manufacturing drawings.
  • 3D rendering of basic designs.
  • Review and update of drawings.
  • Provide technical support to departmental managers.
Minimum requirements

  • Formal qualification: National Diploma or studies completed in Industrial Design / Draughting.
  • Sound applied skills in either Auto CAD, Caddie, SketchUp or Cabinet Vision is essential.
  • Experience in and exposure to a manufacturing / production work environment will be advantageous.
  • Ability to focus on detail and achieving goals, deliver quality work at speed and meet deadlines.
  • Should be provisioned in MS Excel and MS Word (preferably intermediate level).
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English with excellent communication skills.
  • Hold an accredited and valid South African driver's license.
  • Passion for draughting, organized and willing to learn.

Remuneration:
Monthly remuneration, to be market related.

Education:

  • National Diploma (required)

Experience:

  • 1year Practical Draughting Experience
or

  • Completed studies in Industrial Design / Draughting

Salary:
R12, R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Paarl,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
