Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Flexo printing operator, using a MPS EF410/6 OR Mark Andy P3 model. (Nonnegotiable).
  • Having attended Flexo Graphic printing training or courses will be advantageous.
  • Experience in printing selfadhesive labels, working with UV inks as well as film
  • Preferable attributes: good communication skills, follows instruction, desire to grow within the company, able to work within a team, an eye for detail.
  • Properly run and maintain the press.

Operational Requirements

  • Repositioning printing plates, adjusting pressure rolls, or otherwise adjusting machines to improve print quality.
  • Inspecting and examining printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
  • Examining job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences.
  • Selecting and installing printing plates, dies, and cylinders in machines according to specifications.
  • Monitoring the printing processes of presses in order to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions.
  • Operating of equipment at required speed to ensure proper ink coverage, alignment, and registration.
  • Loads, positions, and adjusts unprinted materials onto equipment.
  • Pouring ink and other materials into reservoirs of printing units, making measurements and adjustments to control color and viscosity.
  • Maintaining, or adjusting equipment using proper preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Blending and testing of inks and varnishes according to types of material being printed and work order specifications.
  • Cleaning and lubricating presses and components.
  • Removing printed materials from presses and transporting them to the rewinding department.
  • Ensuring the work conducted within the production area is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Adherence to all quality control processes and procedures and actively supporting the company's internal audit program.
  • Maintains daily time and materials usage reports by entering information into the computer management system.

  • Ensure that practices are applied to ensure employee safety, such as PPE.
