Crane Technician required for a position in Germiston.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demag Crane Technician to join our clients team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Crane Technician / Millwright.
  • Red Seal certification
  • Extensive knowledge of Demag cranes.
  • Proficient in PLC programming for crane systems.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Proven experience in conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to document maintenance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in cranes.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Utilize PLC programming skills to enhance and optimize crane performance.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and maintenance personnel to address complex issues.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide effective solutions.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement efficient maintenance strategies.
