A terrific in-office opportunity has arisen for a talented Junior-Mid Digital Copywriter to join the global Marketing team at a renowned logistics company in Cape Town.

Working with the global Marketing team, means you'll be producing work for their global offices, which is exciting. Ideally you come from an agency background where you've worked on a variety of clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brands
  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials
  • Write long form copy websites, mailers etc.
  • Collaborate with the wider team, from concept development to delivery of final product
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal team, and to client representative as needed, and participate in client pitches on occasion
  • Revise copy based on internal and client feedback/direction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, languages, or a related discipline
  • 13 years' experience as a professional copywriter in a creative agency or directly for a client with an intriguing portfolio of work
  • Great writing and research skills
  • Strong conceptual thinking, ability to formulate campaign ideas, write TV scripts, and develop concepts and copy for ads
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills and multitasking ability
  • Able to thrive in a fastpaced, collaborative environment with a highvolume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Able to continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of communication and industry trends
  • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
  • Good writing style in in excellent command of the English language
  • Social Media or Content Marketing experience a plus
  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a plus
  • Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc. a bonus
  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design.
