Ltd situated in Morningside seeks to recruit an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary:
Theatre.


The purpose of the position is to provide a proficient nursing service within the policies and procedures, governing legislation and good corporate governance in order to ensure satisfaction of customer needs, demands and preferences.


CRITICAL OUTPUTS

  • Function as part of a theatre team under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Competent and confident as Circulating nurse.
  • Friendly, professional delivery of quality clinical care to promote holistic care of the patient & to ensure the safety of the patient.
  • Promote and maintain the hygiene of the patient in all aspects.
  • Prevent cross infection by adhering to infection control policies/procedures.
  • Maintain the comfort of the patient as well as prevention of complications.
  • Promote the patient's welfare by doing the necessary observations.
  • Document / record all findings correctly in patient's file.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Timeous & accurate checking of stock.
  • Use, maintain & store resources appropriately without wastages and abuse of equipment and consumables.
  • Demonstrates good judgement, client service & decisionmaking skills in line with company values.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary.
  • At least 3 years' experience within a theatre environment essential.
  • Able to work flexitime according to unit requirements.
  • Knowledge of nursing activities within scope of practice.
