As Ideal candidate you will have the following skills:3-5 Years' experience as a Maintenance Manager in a similar sized operationMust be experience/qualified in a least one of the following:Electrical (single and three phase)

Refrigeration orMust have demonstrable experience in the following areas of expertise:
Plumbing, sewage treatment systems, water treatment systems, building and general maintenanceValid unendorsed SA driver's license essential

Competencies Required:
Excellent administrative skills, with a focus on attention to detail on numbers and analysisExcellent time management skillsCritical thinking skills; ability to solve problemsTeamwork/collaborationAbility to work under pressureExcellent communication: good interpersonal skills as well as being able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formatPatienceOperate in an informal but highly driven and results oriented environmentSelf-driven, motivated and organizedComfortable in dealing with diverse cultures, languages and environmentDrive, effect and enact changeKey OutputsAdvise on all areas of maintenance in the lodges, staff villages and reserveAlways maintain the highest standardsGuide budgeting processes for both the monthly maintenance budget of the variousCommunicate with lodge managers daily on maintenance needs/requirements and reporting on project progressOversight of all administration and financial processes relating to maintenance including ordering, issuing and stock control of suppliers, tools and equipmentTraining of plumbers, carpenters, wireman, painters and general maintenance staffEmployment of new staff members and carrying out any HR functionsNegotiate with suppliersThe development of the permanent maintenance staff at the lodgeThe complete site-management of all building and renovation operations undertaken at the lodgeThe design, construction and maintenance of water purification systemsThe design, construction and maintenance of grey water treatment plantsPlumbingElectrical (domestic)

Refrigeration and air conditioningBuilding, carpentry and general maintenanceSupport and assist in management and maintenance of IT network infrastructureMaintain open communication channels with the lodge or operation Managers and camp Managers and ensure that clear feedback loops are in placeHold frequent meetings with camp manager and operation managerMorning meetings with the other maintenance staffOversee and manage lodge sustainability efforts relating to energy reducing projects such as solar installation and water saving initiativesSalary Package:
