Lead and supervise the IT team, providing guidance and support.

  • Oversee and manage IT projects, ensuring successful implementation within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers, effectively managing vendor relationships.
  • Implement change management practices to seamlessly introduce technological advancements.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices, recommending innovative solutions to enhance business processes.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and networks.
  • Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT support specialists to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely resolution and technical support to endusers.
  • Implement and enforce security measures, including access controls, data backups, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Evaluate technology needs, recommend and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade computer systems for optimal data availability, security, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Provide training and clarification to users for effective communication and understanding between users and the IT department.
  • Analyse user requirements, evaluate options, recommend solutions, and project manage new system implementations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator, preferably in the construction industry or a related field.
  • Indepth knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, VPN, and DNS.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory).
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and provide exceptional customer service.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
