Responsibilities

  • Work with the Maintenance Manager to maintain the system by assuring that work order, asset, inventory, and other data is complete and up to date.
  • Estimates required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required to perform the task
  • Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work
  • Gather necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings
  • Maintain and enter purchase requisitions and follow up on deliveries The maintenance managers and buyer should see to this.
  • Manage spare parts and alignment between the maintenance department and stock room As above. Planner should record spare parts used and cost to maintain asset items
  • Ensures all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished.
  • Provide technical assistance for supporting entire onsite maintenance activities
  • In conjunction with maintenance manager Coordinate plant shutdowns

Qualifications:

  • Must have a relevant technical engineering Qualification NQF Level
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar capacity
  • Good understanding of machinery and troubleshooting skills
  • Good knowledge of OHS act
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports and present such to various levels of the business unit
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to work in a selfdirected manner and provide direction to others
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing them
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Proficiency in MS office will be required

Salary:
R18,000.00 per month
