Overview:
The position of Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper include duties such as recording, posting and processing day to day financial transactions and to perform related reconciliations

Minimum Requirements:
Matric/Grade 12Financial or any commerce related qualification will be added advantageHigh level of computer literacy in MS Office (Excel & Word)

Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize own workloadContactable referencesClear criminal recordResponsibilities:
General accounting dutiesMaintain accurate sets of accounts / bank reconciliationsAccurate reconciliation of control accountsFixed asset register maintenanceEnsure all data capturing is done accurately and on time and all deadlines are metInteract effectively with management and communicate any operational problems to management immediately to ensure that there is follow up and problems are resolvedEnsure accurate and up to date processing of daily required reportsCarry out any other ad hoc duties as and when required by managementLiaise with different personnel, as is required, to prevent delays and on-time deliveryEnsure knowledge of company's Human Resources policies and proceduresEnsure high quality standards of work are always adhered toAssist the Accountant with preparing information for submission to SARS (VAT, PAYE, etc)

Preparing information for payments and follow-up with other divisions to ensure your duty is carried out successfullyGeneral admin tasks relating to the Finance/HR departmentKey Skills and Competencies:
