General Manager for a Restaurant in Hyde Park

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the entire restaurant team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient and smooth daytoday operations of the restaurant, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Customer Experience: Uphold high standards of service, ensuring that patrons receive an exceptional dining experience that exceeds their expectations.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation to achieve profitability targets.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and motivated team. Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and implement growth plans.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the quality and consistency of food, beverages, and overall presentation, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and clean environment for both employees and customers.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong track record of success in managing busy restaurant operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and staff.
  • Solid financial acumen and experience in managing budgets, cost control, and revenue optimization.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with a focus on staff development and team building.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management software and pointofsale systems.
  • Impeccable presentation and professionalism.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
