JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MSc(synthetic chemistry) or an Equivalent Qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
Proven ability to lead synthetic chemistry projects.
Proven ability to generate technical documents and research reports.
Understanding of OHSE regulations and applied knowledge of cGMP within a production environment will be an advantage

BASIC JOB BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (DEPENDANT ON TEAM):

To lead a team of research chemists and/or technicians in the R&D laboratory.
To plan and lead a team to carry out small scale and scaleup experiments to assist with the development of synthetic processes and technology transfer to production.
To develop efficient and environmentally acceptable scaledup synthetic processes for the manufacturing of new products.
To provide chemical support to existing and new processes in Production.
To assist in compilation and review of manufacturing protocols and research reports.
To transfer manufacturing technology to pilot and/or production facility.
Comply with GMP requirements as outlined by Company SOP's and written instructions in all tasks and activities.
Adhere to all Company OHSE rules and regulations.
