Purpose of the job


The Senior Supply Planners' primary purpose is to assume a "Super User" role and to support the Lead: Supply Planning to ensure adherence to supply planning principles on a tactical, strategic, and operational level.

The individual should support an efficient and effective supply planning process supporting business initiatives and engage with relevant stakeholders to manage and shape the attainment of their supply plans.


The Senior Supply Planner will be responsible for developing and executing short and long-term supply plans to meet customer demand.

The Senior Supply planner will be responsible to support the Lead in the Heineken Beverage annual budget volume planning process from a supply side.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact/line of communication to the demand regions (between a specific
  • Region and Group Planning) in terms of supply planning (in the supply chain).
  • Ensure/support the supply planning lead in planning system improvements required to take supply planning to the next level.
  • Ensure that accurate master data is maintained, and system usage is optimised (single point of contact for supply related master data entry into planning systems).
  • Support the regional sales teams with relevant supply information.
  • Ensure that an accurate supply signal exists for all BU's that will ensure the best customer service at the most costeffective way for an agreed portfolio.
  • Perform and optimize supply planning as assigned by the supply planning lead.
  • Ensure that an up to date Strategic and Tactical supply plan is available for the RSA production footprint.
  • Responsible for Endtoend Master (Supply) Planning for a portfolio of products.
  • Provide key support to the Africa and Heineken Beverages international Demand and Supply Review processes within the overall S&OP process.
  • Responsible for Inventory Planning and Optimisation for a selected portfolio of products.
  • Create scenario planning using advanced planning software.
  • Ensure a high level of master data accuracy on all master data elements impacting master planning for a portfolio of products.
  • Communicate effectively within Supply Chain with site planners, PPL and GMs in SA business unit.
  • Communicate effectively within Supply Chain teams and leads within Africa and Distell International business units.
  • Practice a high level of judgment on influencing key decisions required from S&OP and S&OE impacting OTIF, Working Capital and COGS.
  • Execute Proactive exceptionbased root cause analysis and problemsolving using capabilities of advanced planning software.
  • Follow Heineken Beverages' policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Education
Degree in relevant Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Logistics disciplines

Experience

  • 4 + years or more operational experience in supply chain, inventory management, replenishment, and production planning in the CPG beverage industry
  • Experience of advanced planning software at Super User level.
  • Intermediate level understanding of the integration between Planning System and other corporate systems (SAP ECC/BIP etc.)
  • Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint skills.
  • Display an advanced understanding of supply planning principles concerning efficient production, resource capacities, Master Scheduling and S&OPs, BOMs and purchasing.
  • Display an intermediate knowledge of demand planning and the impact thereof on supply plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem solving & decisionmaking ability
