  • The main purpose of this position is to develop and implement the architectural design of solutions to support the business goals and to ensure alignment of business and information technology (IT) at a solution level within the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
  • Detailed Description
  • Develop solution architectures for the different projects and the endtoend delivery of solutions to business.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Solution Architect and ensure alignment between the enterprise architecture, solution architecture, architecture principles and information and communications technology (ICT) standards to ensure standardisation and reduce risk.
  • Govern the endtoend delivery of the solution to business and ensure that solutions implemented match the architectural designs (quality control).
  • Contribute to the development of evaluation criteria for product evaluations, requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Assist the Lead Solution Architect to evaluate products and partners based on evaluation criteria, RFIs and RFPs.
  • Contribute to advancing ICT standards and optimisation of the ICT facilities in the SARB.
  • Job Requirements
- a BCom degree in Informatics, BSc in Computer Science or Engineering plus industry specific qualifications; and

Additional requirements include:
post-graduate qualification in the relevant field will be an added advantage;
industry, organisational and business awareness;
continued learning and/or professional development knowledge and skill;
quality assurance knowledge and skill;
stakeholder management knowledge and skill;
communication management knowledge and skill;

- use of architecture frameworks and methods such as TOGAF;
use of architecture notations such as Archimate 3, UML and BPMN knowledge and skill;
population of architecture repository knowledge and skill;
continuous improvement knowledge and skill;
knowledge of building blocks and architecture principles design;
use of architecture tools knowledge and skill; and
solution modelling and benefits analysis knowledge and skill.
