Security Systems Technician

Responsibility:

  • Configure and integrate new installations of assorted electronic security systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems across all existing systems and conduct repairs after diagnoses.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Liaise and communicate with management and colleagues.
  • Monitor and maintain standards set out by the organisation.
  • Manage and update the status of faults with clients and the company.
  • Compile and update site documentation on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience installing, configuring and serving
  • CCTV, offsite monitoring, access control, fire detection, voice evacuation, intruder alarms, boom gates and turnstiles.
  • Certified with leading industry manufacturers or certified trainers/institutes
  • PSIRA certified
  • SAIDSA certification beneficial,
  • Valid SA Driver License
  • Be able to work under pressure, unsupervised but also within a team

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
