In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group.

The cluster focusses on retail products, as well as group schemes. What will you do?
To initiate and implement collections best practice to support the retention strategy.

Effective process management within Admin Support areas focusing on SLA's to support internal teams and stakeholders across Distribution and Client Services.

Understanding the collections impact within a changing economic environment and influence operating strategies accordingly ensuring continuous improvement in processes and procedures.

To provide support and direction in the planning and execution of strategies across functional areas within Premium Admin to ensure optimal results are achieved.

To use available MIS and establish reporting where appropriate to monitor and manage portfolio performance and track efficiency and effectiveness of processes executed across functional areas.

Monitoring adherence to internal controls, regulatory compliance and operational risk. Compliance with statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements, to protect the reputation of the Group and to avoid legal action/sanction in respect of regulatory matters
Monitoring and reporting on trends, inclusive of monthly reporting
Requirements gathering, testing and sign-off of system changes / enhancement as well as for projects
Ensure SOPS are in place and maintained

Thorough and professional responses to queries to Internal and Ombuds and media related queries and implement root analysis to prevent reoccurrence.

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
At least 2 years relevant experience in a financial and analytical role within the collections environment

Knowledge
Computer skills
Advanced MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Well developed communication (written & verbal) skills
