  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Telecommunication Bachelor Degree or equivalent as a minimum will be

JOB SPECIFICATION

TN Nodes checks and upgrades

  • CTN Node needs to checked that there is enough physical resources available for us to be able to implement and integrate forecast link build
  • 1G/10G sfp availability
  • CTN port Availability
  • CTN Node Upgrades need to be requested in time so that it does not delay the months build forecast. Request CTN Upgrades from Regional
  • MTN Team and ensure upgrade has been approved and scheduled before link build. Ensure that CTN Preconfigs have been completed before or on the day of Link Build. Configure relevant DCN gateways have been configured to ensure remote connectivity of nodes and remaining
  • Aviat infrastructure. Confirm that relevant ctn ports and Mw Idu ports are in a UP state after onsite teams completed the fiber patch work onsite.

Request and verify CTN Designs

  • Request CTN Designs from relevant 3rd Party Vendor based upon the Link Build Forecast for the month.
  • Ensure CTN Designs have been verified and accurately vetted before submitting to Remedy.

FLLD Designs

  • Incorporate the Approved CTN Design into the FLLD doc
  • Mw IDU Layout and Port availability must be confirmed.
  • Mw IDU and CTN Router Interconnectivity needs to be carefully analysed so that we do not exhaust Node Resources unnecessarily.

CTN integration

  • CTN Link integration verification for CMOD Submission
  • Mw Link has been Integrated as per appoved FLLD

Experience required

  • 23 years MW transmission experience within the CTN supervisor role
  • Client Liaisons
  • Previous experience with MTN Telecoms projects
  • South African
