Our client in the insurance industry is looking for a Marketing and Design Assistant, that will be responsible for the day-to-day management and effective operation of all design projects from concept to delivery.

You will also be responsible for arranging events and managing the marketing budget and calendar for the year.

Requirements:

  • Matric with aboveaverage marks in languages, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Design skill / Related Qualification
  • Not a minimum requirement, but advantageous
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BCom) in Digital Marketing, Business Management, Project Management, or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience working in a similar role
  • Proven experience in Illustrator and other similar design programs.
  • Experience working with Trello project management software is advantageous
  • Experience with event management and general marketing coordination
  • Experience with managing the production schedule is advantageous
  • Influential people leadership and management skills to support an environment for highfunctioning, productive and engaged teams to operate
  • Prior experience in the shortterm insurance industry / mobile app development / IT industry advantageous
  • Willingness to work overtime is highly advantageous
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word capabilities are highly advantageous
  • Proven track record of project management highly advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Scoping project requirements
  • Creating project plans and monitoring progress
  • Updating critical stakeholders on project status
  • Close collaboration with internal teams to start and complete design projects based on briefs received.
  • Working with marketing to plan digital campaigns from concept to delivery
  • Acting as the key point of contact for internal & external stakeholders
  • Assessing working methods and processes and making recommendations for the improvement of digital projects
  • Identifying and implementing KPIs and project milestones.
  • Reviewing project resources and providing an analysis of whether they meet the demands of the project
  • Developing strong stakeholder relationships and communication channels between the relevant parties
  • Regularly updating key stakeholders on project status
  • Analyzing the success of client campaigns, conducting reports, and data analysis as supporting evidence.
  • Finding opportunities for improvement
  • Evaluating client user requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
  • Close collaboration with marketing teams to incorporate a visual and brand identity into the finished digital product.
  • Designing wireframes/user journeys

Job Specification

  • We follow a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 working days in the office.
  • Endtoend design project management and gobetween between customers, internal operations, and third parties to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Endtoend marketing coordination of internal and external marketing requirements
  • Responsible for all aspects of projects, including meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels, campaign analysis, and tracking and monitoring
  • Establish and articulate project scope, strategy, and objectives to internal teams, clients, and production teams
  • Manage creative production of marketing assets, oversee graphic design elements, oversee video production, and web development from concept to finished product to marketing
