Job Overview:
To supervise the efficient running of the extruding process in order to deliver quality products to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate the Production Schedule to the Team and complete all checks.
  • Complete Batch Numbers of raw material on the required system.
  • Monitor the availability of raw material and optimal running of various machines.
  • Complete the Handover Checklist.
  • Check that the Batching team are ready, and that all startup steps are completed for the Extruder.
  • Monitor the temperature and speed of the machine.
  • Measure the product size and density at prescribed intervals and record the results.
  • Monitor the feed rate continuously to maximise efficiency on the extruder.
  • Complete hourly checklists on the settings of the extruder and escalate any unresolved matters to the Shift Manager.
  • Complete or supervise the ongoing maintenance of the extruder.
  • Complete all checks at Drying, Cooling and Coating to ensure sufficient coating, fat and oil.
  • Continuously observe the quality and temperature of the product.
  • Liaise with the packing operator (Packing) to ensure that the packing of products proceeds to prevent overflow from the holding bins.

Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent
  • 3 years' proven work experience in Extruding
  • Knowledge of different products and specifications
  • Knowledge of the workings of the Extruder and drying process
  • Knowledge of water activity and moisture of products

Pay:
R14 500,00 - R15 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • High School (matric) (required)

Experience:

  • Extruding: 3 years (required)

  • FMCG: 2 years (required)
