Day to day

  • Administration and operations in stores
  • Request quotations
  • On acceptance of quotations, create PO (purchase order)
  • Generate POs, when received create GRN (Goods received Notice)
  • Ordering of plant
  • Manage locked inventory and locked bins
  • Allocate material to respective jobs
  • Issue material to operations
  • Housekeeping of warehouse
  • Conduct spot checks to confirm accuracy of stock levels
  • Receive unused material and pack in stores
  • Assist operations, fleet and procurement where possible
  • Assist finance with order and job numbers when needed of warehouse
  • Ensure that tools are in working order

Stock/Stocktake

  • Stock counting
  • Manage Stores Resources
  • Investigate queries relating to incorrect stock and ensure no reoccurrences
  • Investigate all stock variances
  • Schedule stocktakes in warehouse
  • Ensure stocktake targets are met
  • Ensure adequate resources are available for all stock taking
  • Ensure meticulous stocktake procedures are followed
