Our client is an Engineering company involved in the Wastewater sector. They pride themselves in cleaning water for future generations and this is their drive and passion. They provide turnkey solutions in the water and wastewater industry. They design, refurbish, and operate new and established Wastewater Plants all over the country and in some neighboring countries. They are involved in domestic (sewerage), Industrial and Acid Mine water.


Our client is seeking to employ a qualified Electrician as a EC&I Technician on an Industrial water treatment plant in the Worcester, Cape Province to perform the function of Plant Maintenance Technician.


They need an individual who can support their scheduled & corrective action maintenance efforts for electrical, control & instrumentation (EC&I) work on the site.


Requirements:

  • The person to be a qualified electrician.
  • Min 8 year's experience.
  • Some SCADA & PLC experience would be preferable.
  • Well experienced on industrial plants, performing installations, maintenance, fault finding & corrective action activities.
  • Should be able to attend to callouts in cases of emergencies.
  • Key KPA's:
  • Perform scheduled & corrective maintenance activities for all EC&I items on site. A high level of quality installations & workmanship is compulsory.
  • Maintain the P&ID, focused on EC&I.
  • Improve & maintain EC&I related cables to be labelled, routed & installed to standard.
  • Instrumentation to be inspected, calibrated, serviced, repaired, replaced.
  • EC&I interface to PLC & SCADA systems.
  • Log Job Card Tasks to request PLC & SCADA programming needs (Jannie to receive)
  • Use the OSTicket system as a baseline for Job Cards. Be clear & precise on each.
  • Review & amend existing maintenance schedule for EC&I
  • Develop & maintain Critical spares lists
  • Develop & maintain Critical tool list
  • Other EC&I relevant tasks
