Under supervision, the position operates various machines to produce print jobs according to specific instructions as outlined in the request sheet.


Duties:


Responsible to help maintain the efficient running of the print center by ensuring the print orders are executed according to established time frames, paper and toners are amply stocked, and machines are properly maintained and performs related duties as required.

Review, prioritise and submit print requests from mainframe/mini/ server/desktop according to complexity and urgency.

Ensure that the output is quality checked and accurately meet the instructions as submitted and completed using a date-time stamp.

Responsible for minor maintenance and conduct routing cleaning.
Using printer software, create folders and directories for print on demand orders.

Requirements:

Extensive knowledge of wide format flatbed and roll printing
Willingness to work overtime on weekdays and weekends and shifts is an essential prerequisite for the position.
Working knowledge of scanning and imaging processes preferred
Proficiency in the use of reproduction related systems and equipment including:
Calder Rip Softward
Latex
Dye Sub
UV
Zund Cutter
Handtop

Physical activity required including frequent bending, reaching, lifting and standing in stacking print output into boxes and containers.
High school certificate
Computer literacy
Minimum three years' experience.
