ICT TRAINER (NETWORKING)

(PERMANENT)

JOB PURPOSE
To facilitate training, administration and implementation of ICT Function

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Train Technical Curriculum: Cisco ITE & CCNA, CompTIA A+ and N+, Cisco Security, IOT, Linux, Cyber Security, etc
  • Deliver Generic ICT Training i.e. Digital literacy, Microsoft Office, Coding and Robotics, Online Platforms, etc.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the full training cycle;
a. planning,

b. training,

c. training support,

d. assessments and evaluation.

e. reporting

  • Administration of ICT program operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ICT Programs.
  • Remain abreast of developments in ICT through constant upskilling and development, attending accreditation body conferences, participation in industry online networks, webinars, etc.
  • Ensure responsible use of ICT resources.
  • Report to relevant supervisors.
  • Asset management of all classroom ICT assets
  • Assist with adhoc Sci-Bono projects, functions, and activities

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Qualification Required

  • CCNA Technical Qualification Essential
  • ICT Formal qualification Advanced Certificate/Diploma/Degree
  • IT qualification in technical hardware software and/or networking, programming, and/or database design and management, and/or website design and management.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (Min 2 Modules)

Advantageous Qualification

  • Cisco Instructor Trainer Qualification
  • CCNP Certification
  • Devnet Certification
  • Cyber Operations/Security Certification
  • Server Administration Certification

Experience

Experience Advantageous

  • Experience in facilitating or training of ICT programs.
  • Experience in training administration
  • IT Experience in technical hardware software and/or networking
  • Experience in programming, and/or database design and management, and/or website design and management

Knowledge / Skills

  • Strong administration skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Sound 4IR knowledge
  • Strong presentation skills

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
