Kitchen Supervisor

Ø In conjunction with the Head Chef, the Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the management of the culinary team and quality management of the entire kitchen and related function.

RESPONSIBILITES
Ø Daily running of the kitchen operation with respect to ensuring the overall smooth operation of the shift and clear communication with all the hotel departments

Ø Ensure highest standards of health, safety and hygiene are being maintained

Ø Order stock in line with quantity and quality guidelines

Ø Ensure that food quality is maintained at the highest standard and in line with the brand standards of the hotel

Ø Assist in the management of all kitchen staff with respect to training and development, rostering and productivity while providing the necessary guidance to ensure a motivated team

Ø Conduct regular staff meetings

Ø Assist in implementing controls ensuring that budgeted cost of sales is maintained

Ø Assist in creating menu cycle options relevant to the hotel's requirements

GENERAL
Ø Always comply with the company corporate code of conduct

Ø Familiarise yourself with the company vision and values which link to our model of behaviours that we expect all employees to display

Ø Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.

Ø Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries

Ø Management of accounts to explain budget variances and to plan any necessary corrective action.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Rosebank, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Chef /

Kitchen Supervisor: 3 years (required)
