Sanlam Life and Savings consists of three clusters - Sanlam Corporate, Sanlam Retail Mass and Sanlam Retail Affluent.

The Sanlam Life and Savings Office provides strategic direction, coordination and support to the three clusters, as well as performing governance oversight that includes assurance provided by second line of defense functions in SLS, to enable us to meet our business objectives.

Role Description

What will you do?

The role will provide assistance with various valuation tasks within the Risk team.

Depending on experience and your skill set, it may include:

Valuation of Risk products and presenting results (VNB, EV, Profits, etc.)
Assistance with Prophet model development and model officialisations
Assistance to Regulatory Reporting and Balance Sheet Management teams
Provide support in the budgeting process
Improvement and automation of existing valuation and reporting processes
Help set up reporting processes for new ventures and Regulatory requirements
Ad-hoc investigations and tasks

Experience and skills:

Good understanding of insurance products
Life insurance product valuations experience will be an advantage
Prophet and DCS experience will be an advantage
Good verbal and written communication skills to manage relationships with business stakeholders
Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge seeking/learning orientation
