We are a group of Pre-school's that provides high-quality education and care for children aged 3 months to 6 years of age.

Purpose of role

Assist the teacher, who is responsible for the growth, development and overall well-being of children in aclass with all their duties.

Responsibilities

• Assume caring and educational responsibilities for children while at school, including nappychanging and feeding if toddler teacher assistant.
• Promote feelings of security and trust in children through maintaining a safe and caring environment.
• Assist the teacher to use the HighScope approach to plan activities daily which stimulate and engage children at the developmentally appropriate level.
• Manage all stock of resources and equipment in the classroom
• Manage the setup of the classroom between different activities during the day.
• Work positively and collaboratively with other staff members, including to plan activities for the classes as a team.
• Participate in regular professional development sessions with colleagues.
• Reflect on their work regularly, leading their personal growth strategy.

Qualifications

• ECD qualification or studying towards a relevant Early Childhood Development qualification would be an advantage
• First Aid would be an advantage
• Clear criminal record

Experience

• 2 years experience working with in a caregiving, teaching or similar role

Salary:
R4, R5,500.00 per month
