Digital Advertising Sales Specialist:
Team Lead to join the team at a leading South African online retailer, based in Cape Town.

This exciting young, dynamic, hyper growth company is on the lookout for a smart, creative, hardworking individual to fill this role.

This position will see you managing a team of 4-7 people.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive performance within a sales team (59 people) to deliver against sales targets
  • Ensure sales processes are followed by the sales team and that sales data is accurate and complete
  • Identify shortfalls in the sales process and help improve efficiency
  • Manage and build sales dashboards to track key productivity metrics
  • Drive improvements in the quality of data and reporting offered to clients
  • Develop strategies for acquiring new advertising customers, and retaining and upselling existing customers
  • Assist in managing strategic brands and support client engagement for high value advertising customers
  • Manage and support a team of Sales Specialists with daytoday operations
  • Coach the advertising sales team to improve their sales skills and performance
  • Work with the Advertising manager to set monthly targets for the sales team which are aligned to the business targets
  • Ensure a solid sales pipeline is in place for a rolling 3month period and that there is plan for big clients in line with their 12month budgets
  • Assist in the collaboration between the Sales Specialists, Marketing, Merchant, and Finance teams.
  • Recruiting and onboarding of new Sales Specialists
  • Assist the Advertising Manager in identifying new assets and introducing them into the sales process for the Advertising team to sell.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (or equivalent Diploma) is preferential but not required
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience
  • Experience managing a sales team
  • Experience in establishing and managing sales processes
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
- eCommerce experience is preferred but not required

  • Attention to detail
