Key Responsibilities:

Sushi Preparation

  • Skillful Sushi Making: Craft a variety of sushi types, such as nigiri, sashimi, maki, and specialty rolls, ensuring excellence in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Ingredient Readiness: Choose, cleanse, and slice fish and seafood, as well as prepare vegetables, rice, and other elements following traditional and innovative sushi recipes.
  • Food Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols, guaranteeing the freshness and proper storage of ingredients to prevent any contamination.

Customer Service

  • Interacting with Customers: Engage customers in a warm and informative manner, offering recommendations and addressing queries regarding sushi products.
  • Customized Orders: Manage bespoke orders and special requests, ensuring customer satisfaction and tailoring sushi options to individual tastes.

Inventory and Supplies

  • Supply Management: Keep track of sushi ingredient and supply levels, order replenishments, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain freshness and availability.
  • Cost Efficiency: Control expenses by reducing waste, using ingredients effectively, and optimizing portion sizes.

Quality Control

  • Consistency: Uphold consistent quality and presentation standards for sushi products, ensuring each item meets the store's criteria.
  • Innovation: Create new sushi recipes and products to keep the menu enticing and aligned with customer preferences, staying abreast of sushi cuisine trends.

Training and Leadership

  • Leading the Team: Train and oversee junior sushi chefs and kitchen staff, offering guidance and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Skill Enhancement: Continuously enhance personal sushi-making skills and knowledge, staying updated on new techniques and culinary trends.

Operational Duties

  • Equipment Care: Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of all sushi-making equipment.
  • Packaging: Supervise the packaging of sushi products for retail, ensuring attractive and secure packaging to preserve freshness.
