The air con technician needs to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to prepare bill of materials for each job and interact with various members of the team daily.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems including cleaning condenser coils replacing filters and lubricating moving parts.
  • Conduct inspections to assess the condition and performance of air conditioning units.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning systems such as refrigerant leaks electrical malfunctions or mechanical failures.
  • Repair or replace faulty components and parts such as compressors motors thermostats and fans.
  • Install assemble and test new air conditioning systems according to specifications and guidelines.
  • Conduct performance and efficiency tests on air conditioning systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and product knowledge to effectively carry out repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete complex projects or handle an increased workload during peak seasons.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working on air conditioning systems to ensure a secure and accident free environment.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant Trade certification in HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) or a related field.
  • Experience and qualifications in electrical will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience working as an Air Conditioner Technician preferably in a residential or commercial setting.

Salary:
R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month

  • Montague Gardens,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

Aircon Installation: 3 years (preferred)
