SAP Solution Architects have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

  • Participating in the development of high-level business strategy and translating it into technical solutions
  • Reviewing existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement or replacement
  • Developing diagrams and models to illustrate how data flows within an organization's information systems
  • Working with other members of an organization's IT department to implement new business solutions
  • Identifying new technologies that could be incorporated into existing solutions or developing new solutions based on emerging technologies
  • Coordinating with other departments such as operations or human resources to ensure that new solutions meet the needs of end users
  • Establishing project budgets and timelines to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule
  • Performing feasibility studies to determine whether proposed solutions are viable
  • AP Solution Architects typically need to have the following qualifications:

  • Training & Experience: Most of an SAP solution architect's training will take place while obtaining their education. Students will learn the basics of the technology while studying for their degree. They will also receive on-the-job training while working with their current employer. This training will help them learn the specific processes and procedures of the company.

Certifications & Licenses: SAP solution architects can earn certifications to prove their expertise and increase their earning potential.

  • Business knowledge: SAP solution architects need business knowledge to understand the needs of their clients and the goals of their projects.
